The After School Program (ASP) is an extended day program that runs most school days until 5:30pm*, and is offered to all Saint Jerome School students. The program will begin on the first day of school. If interested in using the After School Program (ASP), either full-time, part-time, or on an as-needed basis, please complete the registration form below and send it into school with a $30 registration fee per child.
*The After School Program (ASP) is in session every school day, including half days, with the exception of the dates listed in the school calendar. A separate notice will be sent home in September with these dates.
*The After School Program (ASP) will not be available when school is closed due to inclement weather. If there is an early dismissal, the program will be cancelled.

*Full-time rates only apply to families who use the After School Program (ASP) on a regular schedule. You must indicate this choice on the application in order to be eligible for this rate. This rate takes into account all days off and half days. No reduction in rate will be given for absenteeism, illness or vacation. Payments for students using ASP full-time will be included in their tuition bill.

General Policies / Procedures
Enrollment
Each child must be enrolled by a parent or legal guardian. Enrollment form (see below) must be completed before a child may participate in the program.
Collection of Fees
You, as the parent or guardian, are responsible for payment for the days your child is enrolled in the program whether they attend or not. There are NO refunds. If using the ASP on a full-time basis, the cost will be included in the tuition bill. If using the ASP on a part-time or as-needed basis, a bill will be sent home at the beginning of each month for the previous month’s After School Program (ASP) usage. Full payment is due upon receipt and must be paid no later than the 15 th of the following month.
Behavior
Inappropriate behavior will not be permitted. Release from the program will result from receiving three (3) written discipline notices or at the principal’s discretion.
No Tolerance Policy
There is a no tolerance policy in our program. Children who experience repeated discipline problems in the classroom will not be allowed to participate in the After School Program (ASP); as per the discretion of the homeroom teacher and/or principal.
Snack
Please send your child into school with a healthy snack on all full days, and a healthy lunch on all half days.
Clothing
Children are permitted to change into appropriate play clothes. Please ensure that your child has proper outerwear (jacket, hat, scarf, gloves) on cold weather days.
Dismissal from Homeroom
A note from a parent must be presented to each student's homeroom teacher advising that their child(ren) will be going to After School Program (ASP) at dismissal time.
Pick-up
Due to safety and legal concerns children must be released by an After School Program Assistant. Children will be released only to those persons indicated on the enrollment form as having permission to pick up the child. If you are late picking up your child, a late fee will be charged. After three tardies your child will be released from the program.
Change in Transportation Arrangements
In any case where a child is to be transported by anyone other than the parent or guardian, written permission must be provided for the day or general permission for the purpose.
Sickness Policy
A parent or guardian will be called to pick up a child who is sick or injured. Medicine will not be administered without written permission from the parent or legal guardian.
